Sobs can be heard but not one word
Huddled in the corner; a child mourns
Whimpers if you will; yet, all still

No mother to calm her cries
No father to ask her why
No one to be at this poor girl’s side

Squeezing her delicate suffering soul
Dislocating all she’s dreamed to hold
Watching hopelessness taking full control

Louder & louder, yet
It creeps into her soul; you bet
Blackening everything to inept

That empty stare she gives in return
All the windows open but no one heard
Hoping words to share ….she’s too scared

She’s sliding down that infinite line
Razor sharp w/no audible sounds
Echoing of silence is all around

Will she ever be found?
