The sweet sting of steel
To never kiss her skin again
She’s stronger than the wiles within

Discarding each layer
Onto the floor they flutter to rest
With her feet, she steps in to get wet

Lowering to her knees
Letting the water fall on she
Covering her entire body

Steam rising high
Her hands gently cover up her eyes
A muffled sob & a soft sigh

Tired of hiding behind her smile
Ever since she was a young child
Living a life, feeling so very defiled

There is nothing to mend
She is willing to call it the end
She grabs her towel & starts to dry off

Alone, in solitude, is where she’s to begin…~

…AGAIN~
